Resilience Talk by Prof. Michał Pióro

Our second guest speaker in Resilience Talks was Prof. Michał Pióro.

This month, we had a great honor to host Prof. Michał Pióro from Warsaw University of Technology. He is a very well-known figure in network design and optimization area, especially by his seminal book on network optimization, Routing, Flow, and Capacity Design in Communication and Computer Networks and the famous topology dataset library, SNDlib. Prof. Michał Pióro gave a fascinating talk on combining linear optimization and game theory to design attack-tolerant control planes for SDN-like networks. He proposed a mixed strategy for a zero-sum matrix game that optimizes the payoff for both attacker and defender in a system - and eventually finds the best defensive strategies to place controllers that maximize the defensive advantage in the face of attacks.

The second Resilience Talk by Prof. Pióro with the title "Finding optimal mixed strategies in a matrix game between the attacker and the network operator".

We thank Michał once more for this great talk! Stay tuned for the upcoming Resilience Talk!
